I use acetone to degrease, then Oxpho Blue on a Q tip. Let dry, do a 2nd coat, then WD-40 to stop the blue process. At Trinidad we had a tank of WD-40 that we ran the blued items for the final step in the blueing process. I touch up all kinds of rifles and hand guns.
