Webb1 feb. 2024 · What is happening here. I record a clip set to play on stop. When it plays it creates this volume envelope automation. Why?. This started out as the default Playtime project with default settings. I did select play on stop. This is my first attempt at posting a GIF. Not sure if it worked properly. It was very tough to meet the 64kb limit. Webb8 mars 2024 · It's just the way Playtime triggers clips - it temporarily puts them on the timeline so Reaper can play them. It does this out of the way of any clips that are already actually there, unless you want it to play with the project. Ableton Live doesn't record anything into the arrange view unless you tell it to.
WebbWhen I want to arrange, mix, and master I export my clips or stems and bring everything over to Reaper. Reaper is way better on CPU also: I compared a project in Ableton with the same audio tracks and VST effects as one in Reaper. In Ableton my CPU was at 45% compared to 15% in Reaper. I also use and love both. WebbIt's an implementation of Reaper's native features that has allowed the app developer Helgoboss to recreate the workflow of Ableton Live's audio and midi clip launcher/looper for live performances. It already exists as Playtime (you can download a free demo) but Playtime 2 is coming out soon, with new implementation and new features.
WebbRecord something, click and drag vertically over exactly what you want to loop, then somewhere next to the play button there's a loop button you have to turn on.
