Either way I found myself having to double mow certain lawns to either 1. lift and cut all the grass properly and then disperse it evenly or 2. remow to cut the clippings smaller so they would disperse better.

WebI've never tried the predator but I'm guessing its very similar to the gator. If anything the mulchers are by far better performers than the stock cutting blade that came with your machine.
