I don't think the .04" bigger ring gear diameter matters(10.5 vs. 10.54). Axle tubes are both 1/2", and I think the locker options are almost even now that there is an air locker for a 14 bolt. 14 bolt still has the 3rd pinion bearing, but can't get as low of a gear ratio as a Dana 70.
